In the year 2000, Pedro Pont Vergés presented a joint exhibition together with the Argentine painters Carlos Alonso and Miguel Ocampo at the Ahrus Gallery in Rafaela, Santa Fe Province. There he met the photographer Adolfo Previderé. Throughout successive meetings in Córdoba, they became friends. On some of the occasions Previderé visited Pont Vergés, he took pictures of the artist, his work and his studio.

In December 2003, one month after Pont Vergés' death, the photographer travelled once more to Córdoba to visit Ana Luque, the painter's wife. Before he left, Previderé asked to stay on his own in the studio and took pictures of it just as it had been left by the artist.
